Prof. Yanming Xie is a doctoral tutor and the deputy director of the Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS). She has received grants from the national government for her work on the Youth Development Committee supporting the outstanding contributions of young experts. She is recognized as an academic leader at CACMS. She has also served as the general secretary of marketing Chinese medicines at the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and served as Vice President of brain diseases. She has long been involved in the clinical evaluation of Chinese medicine and drug interactions, elderly disease research, and standardization of Chinese medicine research. She has published more than 600 papers and edited 19 articles. In 2016, she was the winner of the National Woman Pace-Setter Award.

Prof. Wang has served as the vice-president of the Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine and the academic leader of clinical pharmacology of Chinese medicine in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. He has also served as the vice-president and permanent secretary of the Data Monitoring Committee for Clinical Studies in WFCMS, permanent secretary of Medical Experts Committee in CIUR, vice-president of Division of Clinical Evaluation Committee in CMAM, executive committee member of Division of Clinical Pharmacology in Chinese Clinical Pharmacological Society, board member of other pharmacological and pharmaceutical associations, and is a regular reviewer for National Natural Science Fund and senior member of Drug Evaluation Committee of CFDA.
